EXHIBITION MOON KWANG JA 문광자 패션 52년 특별전 SPECIAL FASHION EXHIBITION SUNY Korea Museum of modern Costume SEPTEMBER 24, 2019-NOVEMBER 22, 2019 SUNY Korea FIT state University of New York CONTACT : 인천광역시 연수구 송도문화로 119-2 강의연구동 AB101 032 626 1123(김린다) linda.kim@sunykorea.ac.kr
Ever since I encountered Moomyung, the material that contains Korean sentiment, making garments has become a process of recording, enhancing the history through, rediscovering myself rather than just making a living or as an expression.

Every stitch I made was an earnest attempt to carry on the history of this land and myself, while cutting and folding techniques were just like a gift found inside the uprightness and fortuitous magnanimity of Moomyung. Thus, Moomyung is a very special material that shows Korean sentiment in multi-dimensional form. That is why I am very proud to be named as a designer of the Moomyung. And now, I want to share its outcomes with you through this exhibition.
I would like to give a word of gratitude to the SUNY Korea Museum of Modern Costume for inviting me to this beautiful space. This exhibition has rather a special meaning to me because this place is where young fashion enthusiasts are studying. For this reason, I have chosen to show various pieces at this exhibition that focus on techniques used on my Moomyung works. I hope this exhibition will become an inspirational place with various techniques for the students and, for general audience, a place that forwards warm and noble sentiment of Moomyung.
