Leading House Asia (ETH) is launching the 2023 Call for Applied Research Partnership Grants, a one-time only, special call focusing on applied research.

The Applied Research Partnership Grants support applied research projects with collaborating institutions in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, South Korea, Taiwan and ASEAN member states. The collaboration can be based on a new partnership or an existing partnership.

Scientists (professors, senior scientists, postdoctoral researchers) based in Switzerland, affiliated to a federal or cantonal university, a university of applied sciences, a university of teacher education or a research institute are eligible to apply.* Research projects up to 12 months can be funded.

Please, remark that the goal of the small grant is to provide an instrument to continue cooperation or establish new ones to prepare for the bigger call. Perhaps, the grant can be useful to some of you based on the discussions you had with the Korean delegation. Application is unilateral on your side only.

- Funding: max. 25,000 CHF
- Deadline: 31 January 2024
- Project Duration: max. 12 months
- Eligible Partner Countries: China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, South Korea, Taiwan and ASEAN member states (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam).

* Note: UAS/UTE staff with research responsibility (group leaders, researchers with 5+ years of experience) and in equivalent functions are eligible to apply.
