Stony Brook Applied Mathematics Ranked 3rd in the US by USA Today
SUNY Korea invites applications for the position of Chair of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics (AMS), starting Spring 2018. SUNY Korea is a global campus of Stony Brook University (SBU) and the State University of New York, offering degree programs from SBU’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) and College of Business.
Professor Suil O has been selected as a recipient of a National Research Foundation research grant funded by the Ministry of Education. His project is on “Spectral bounds for the connectivity in regular graphs,” and the total budget is over 140 Million Won for 3 years.
AMS undergraduate student Hyojeong Son received Excellent Research Award for her research on “Creation of Music in 10 Tone Equal Temperament” from the poster competition in ICT Consilience Creative Forum (ITCCP) 2017 held in COEX, Seoul. Hyojeong’s work was done under the supervision of Professor Hongshik Ahn.
