Stony Brook Applied Mathematics Ranked 3rd in the US by USA Today
AMS undergraduate student Hyojeong Son has been selected as a recipient of this year's Stony Brook University Undergraduate Recognition Award. This award is given for her academic accomplishments that go beyond the classroom experience. The award ceremony will be held on April 16, 2018 at 7 pm in the Student Activities Center Auditorium.
Professor Suil O has been selected as a recipient of a National Research Foundation research grant funded by the Ministry of Education. His project is on “Spectral bounds for the connectivity in regular graphs,” and the total budget is over 140 Million Won for 3 years.
AMS undergraduate student Hyojeong Son received Excellent Research Award for her research on “Creation of Music in 10 Tone Equal Temperament” from the poster competition in ICT Consilience Creative Forum (ITCCP) 2017 held in COEX, Seoul. Hyojeong’s work was done under the supervision of Professor Hongshik Ahn.
